I really love The Knitter, its such a beautiful magazine and for knitters has some really great projects in it. In issue 65 you’ll find Little Wren Pottery yarn bowls in the ‘The Knitter loves’ section. Its a really neat little feature!
I’ve become a real convert to the ‘food festival’ movement, sure it’s busy and you’ve got to jostle for a position in the queue but its quite fun to taste flavours you wouldn’t normally find. Last weekend I had a trip out to the York Food Festival, taking in some of the stands it was interesting to see that savoury was much better represented than sweet.
It’s been such a long time since there’s been a brew on in the keg and now that we’ve got all that moving house stuff out the way last weekend was a great time to start a new beer.
So far as amateur brewers we’ve had mixed successes with the St Peter’s kit being my favourite with a lovely well rounded flavour and the Milestone Raspberry beer being the worst with its horrible synthetic flavouring! In fact the flavouring was so bad it’s really put me off brewing any more fruit based beers.
In the studio I’m busy looking ahead to the final quarter of the year, unfortunately pottery is a slow craft with bespoke items and dinner sets sometimes taking as long as 8 weeks to complete. Planning is key to organising orders through the busy festive season.
With this in mind I thought I’d put out the final delivery dates for Christmas 2013. These are of course subject to change and will probably do so as we head into November, in stock items and made to order pieces are handled differently so before ordering make sure you accurately read listing titles and descriptions.
