I’ve been thinking about having a change around on the glaze chart for a while now to improve and develop the range. I’ve often felt that theres a lot of brown in the chart and with that in mind Chocolate Brown is now gone from the selection of glazes.

The trouble with blue
Lately I’ve been having a lot of trouble with blue which has caused orders in Smokey Blue to be delayed. If your one of those people currently waiting I’m in the process of working through this list and I’m sorry that it is taking longer.
As seen in Homemade with Love
This month you can find Little Wren Pottery in ‘Homemade with Love’ issue 6, it’s a beautiful magazine stuffed full of Christmas projects with a Scandinavian twist. Somehow Christmas and nordic style just go together so well I know when I visited Denmark it was defined as ‘hygge’ with all those comforts of home.
As seen in yarnwise
This January you’ll find Little Wren Pottery featured in Yarnwise magazine on their ‘wishlist’ spread, it’s a new year edition and they’re also sporting a fresh design which looks great – it’s nice to see a magazine that so well laid out! Within it’s pages you’ll also find some lovely knitting patterns from a more basic hat to ambitious lace shawl which I’d love to knit. Unfortunately my track record with shawl knitting isn’t that great!
Hibernation
It’s been a very busy couple of weeks in the run up to Christmas with parcels going out almost everyday. I hope that if you receive a gift that’s been made by me that it makes you smile today, everyday you use it and that it reminds you of the person that gave it to you.

Custom pottery work in progress
There’s a lot going on in the studio since I’ve been working towards the summer break and getting custom orders completed has been a priority. I’ve been working on a few unusual ones, experimenting with prototype pieces is also quite a lot of fun. Maybe you don’t get it quite right first time but that’s the joy of handmade.
New yarn bowl styles – ‘little star’
If you’ve been following some of my postings over on Twitter and Facebook you might have noticed that over the last 3 months I’ve been working on some new styles of yarn bowls. This is the first of three new styles and it’s quite different from other yarn bowls currently in stock.
It’s called Little Star and it’s size is much smaller than the standard size I currently make. I received a lot of requests for smaller yarn bowls when I was at The Knitting and Stitching show in Harrogate mainly from sock and lace knitters but this bowl is also ideal for summery cottons too.

Vanilla cream
I hope you’ve had a great new year and a fabulous festive season! There’s so much potential to be had in the year ahead, January is always a strange month sometimes full of the winter blues.
So far its been quite a mild winter but my thoughts already wander to the heady days of spring, when the mornings start to become lighter once again. I’m already working on some new glazes to come into the shop for the new season.

Calling time for Christmas orders
Christmas seems to be creeping up on me quietly this year and with that in mind I’m no longer taking custom orders for Christmas gifts, they just won’t get completed in time. As an alternative you can of course get a gift card which can be redeemed for both items in stock and custom orders. Check out what I’ve currently got in stock over on Etsy, Folksy or Dawanda.
