Hello Harrogate

Last week was the Harrogate Knitting and Stitching show, if you met us there I’d just like to say thanks for dropping by! It was lovely to meet so many folks who stopped to chat and buy my work.

It was really interesting to see how many people who’d already heard of Little Wren Pottery and even a few who already had yarn bowls! I love the idea that my pieces start new lives with their owners and develop stories of their own along the way.

Calling time for Christmas orders

Christmas seems to be creeping up on me quietly this year and with that in mind I’m no longer taking custom orders for Christmas gifts, they just won’t get completed in time. Making glass paperweights

My great grandfather was a glass blower for the Pyrex factory and because of this I’ve always wanted to learn more about glass. I never met my grandparents but I think through craft you can in some small way connect with your past, it becomes a very immediate physical link since making glass hasn’t changed for centuries.

Sweet treats for Christmas

Yes, I just used the big C word. I know its only just the end of August but writing published articles pushes you into a schedule thats a month or two ahead of everyone else.

Since I got back there’s been so much going on and taking time to catch up is proving a little more difficult than I’d first thought. As part of my growing to do list I’ve been in the process of writing a new article for UK handmade.
