Sometimes I get asked what’s the difference between your two styles of yarn bowl?
The differences start even before the piece is made in the raw materials that go into making each yarn bowl. The size of the piece of clay thats used to throw the different styles varies between 1 kilo and 1.3 kilos. In making these pieces there is only so much clay to go into it and generally that helps in achieving the same sizes time after time.
In my last post I mentioned there were three new styles of yarn bowl on their way to the shop. Not to keep you waiting any longer here’s the second and third style!
These two new styles are more like the larger barrel shaped yarn bowls that I make and if you came to see me at The Knitting and Stitching show you make have been quick enough to get yourself one. The ‘wool’ yarn bowl proved to be a popular choice and I’ve decided to keep it around in the collection.
