Dinner plates with a wedding styling

Recently an interesting email dropped into my inbox – I’m not always able to fulfill requests I get. This time I was able to! I was asked to provide a set of dinner plates and tea plates for a photo shoot. I usually style all the photos I take myself so it’s really an opportunity to see what other people do with my work. It’s nice in a way just to be able to sit back and look at the photos!

Hambleton Community Awards

Hambleton community awards 2018

I very nearly forgot to blog about this years Hambleton Community Awards! I’ve been making these awards for a few years now and they’ve transformed in that time to become increasingly abstract. It’s pretty rare that I get asked to make things that are more decorative than functional. It’s become an opportunity to showcase skills that I don’t really use as much.

Yarn bowl update

It’s been such a long time since I last posted! Christmas is a time of year when the shop gets extra traffic. Increased sales reveal things about your online shop you’d never thought about before. People both new and repeat customers ask questions and look at your shop with fresh eyes and suggest changes. I usually always update the regular ‘Made to order’ listings every year.
