Latest stockist – Jane Crowfoot

Recently I completed my first wholesale order for Jane Crowfoot, she’s currently selling some of my yarn bowls which is one of the reasons why I don’t currently have any in stock!

Jane studied textile design at Winchester School of Art specialising in knitting and has since worked alongside Rowan yarns and Debbie Bliss. She currently works as a mobile consultant and tutor giving knitting and crochet workshops.

Gaea beads

I don’t often win contests but it would seem that August was a great month for it! I was fortunate enough to win these beautiful beads.

Gaea beads is based in sunny California creating porcelain beads that are unique and one of a kind. As well as beads you can also find pendants, earrings, rings and other gifts.

As you’d expect much of the inspiration for the pieces comes from the natural world, but there’s also magic and mystery to be found in Gaea’s shop. Each bead set has its own theme such as the pretty blues and greens of the mermaid bracelet.

Konnie Kapow!

I first came across Konnie on the Folksy forums and was really taken with her unique and eye-catching cards. She and Mr Kapow, who also provides artwork for the cards, live in Glasgow.

I’ve been to Glasgow quite a few times and it has a growing reputation for independent artists and designers who break away from the madding crowd of mass production.

What I enjoy most about their cards is they’re really geared up for that special someone, theres nothing generic to be found here! As soon as I saw Konnie’s Cowboy cards it made me think of my Dad who loves to reminisce about being a young boy idolising John Wayne.

Etsy showcase – Lazygiraffe

It’s been a while since I last featured another seller on my blog so I’d like to introduce Lazygiraffe who I mentioned in my last post.

Based in Cambridge she produces elegant jewelery made from vintage beads, charms, silver, brass and gold. Since many of the beads featured in pieces are often small run vintage beads many of the pieces are unique and one of a kind.

I’ve often had problems with my hands turning green from jewelery but thankfully Lazy’s is nickel free which is great.

Often the pieces for sale have a modern vintage look, particularly the earrings. As well as a retro inspiration many of the earrings echo nature such as the rainfall necklace or cute dainty flowers.
