Sutton Bank is a local beauty spot as one of the highest hills in Hambleton on a clear day it has beautiful views across North Yorkshire. Even on a blustery winter day though it has a rugged beauty that’s really hard to ignore.
At the very top of the Bank you’ll find the Visitor’s Center run by the National Parks Authority. Here you can find a cafe, bike hire, display gallery and shop. Many of the pieces in the shop are produced by local artists and you’ll find Little Wren Pottery amongst them.
It’s a great stopping off point between Thirsk and Helmsley for a range of unusual and unique gifts you just won’t find anywhere else. While your there be sure to take in ‘the finest view in England’.
