From April this year Royal Mail are making changes to the cost of their postal services. All online sellers will be having to alter the costs of postage and while I’m not really happy with their changes they are still the cheapest best value service in the UK.
For domestic UK postage prices for the most part will not change, I will however be having to mail parcels first class rather than special delivery. I now feel that special delivery on single item orders is too expensive outweighing the advantages of the service. Items will still be insured against loss or breakage but will take an extra 2-3 days in transit particularly during busy times. for orders over £50 in value they’ll still travel Special Delivery due to their value and weight, boxes of this size will be going up by £1.
For UK buyers I’ll be introducing a new listing to the shop to upgrade the speed of your postage to next day delivery for an additional £2.
Postage to European destinations both in and out of the EU will be going up by £1 and orders to the US will be going up by £3.
Orders under the value of £50 will be sent in double strength cardboard boxes and wrapped well with bubblewrap to ensure they reach their destination. During April I’ll be keeping a close eye on how changes to postage go.
