If you’ve been keeping an eye on my shop you might have noticed a new glaze in the collection. Its something you guys asked for in my customer survey and I wanted to formally introduce it to you now that I’ve had some time to play with it.
Tivoli red is a beautiful ruby red glaze. It creates real statement pieces just because its so deeply red! I’m in love with this glaze since its so nice to work with.
Its produced by potclays and makes a really nice autumnal addition to the range of colours on offer. Typically Tivoli red is more commonly used in cookware, kinda like La Creuset, but I think it makes for a great decorative glaze.
Tivoli is actually an ancient town in Italy and the richness of this red reminds me of the diamonds that harlequins, Italian jesters, wear during their performances.
You might remember a while back I also said I was trying to introduce green, well it didn’t turn out as well as expected. I’ll be continuing to experiment with it to try and get a more satisfactory colour.
